Preface

Composition in mixed prose and verse is called Champu. Sri Venkata Sastry has taken the theme from Ashwamedhaparva of Mahabharata and composed this Champu prabhandha beautifully in ten chapters called Stabakas. The author has concentrated more on the story line using beautiful sanskrit language. The poet has pleasant prose passage with full of different sentiments and delightful slokas in various meters along with alankaras suitable to the situations.
