SANSKRIT ASHTAAVADHANAM

Sanskrit Academy celebrated “Kalidas Jayanti” on 14-11-2019. On this occasion the Academy has arranged a special Sanskrit Ashtaavadhanam by Shatavadhani Dr. G.M. Rama Sharma, a well known scholar and poet in Sanskrit and Telugu. The theme of Ashtaavadhanam was “KalidasaBharathi”. Prof. Ch. Gopal Reddy , Registrar, Osmania University was the Chief Guest. Sri N. Purushottama Sharma and Sri T. Srihari who conferred “Mahamahopadhyaya” by R.S. Vidyapeetham, Tirupati were honoured by Sanskrit Academy.

Telugu translation of A Book titled “ Meghasandesham” of Mahakavi Kaladasa

A Book titled “ Meghasandesham” of Mahakavi Kaladasa, Telugu translation by Prof. P. Shashirekha, was inaugurated on 25-10-2020 at Sanskrit Academy. Sri Chandrasekhar, IAS, Prof.T.Keshavanarayana, Retd. Principal, O.U. Arts College, Dr.Vidyananda Arya, Head, Dept. of Sanskrit, OU, Dr. Ayachitam Nateswara Sharma, Retd Professor, Oriental College, Kamareddy were invited as Chief Guests.

20-DAY WORKSHOP ON APPLIED GRAMMAR

20-Day Workshop on Applied Grammar (Laghu Siddanta Koumudi) conducted from 8th April, 2019 to 30th April, 2019h was conducted.

Sanskrit Academy with the collaboration of Bhavan’s Vivekananda Degree College, organized a day long workshop on Sanskrit Computational Linguistic Tools on 08-08-2019

SANSKRIT WEEK CELEBRATIONS

Sanskrit Week Celebrations conducted in the month of August, 2019 (16-18th Aug, 2019). The Academy arranged Shloka Recitation, Singing Sanskrit songs(solo), Singing Sanskrit songs(groups), Poster making etc., After the competitions a lecture program was organized. A renowned Sanskrit Scholar Dr. Sudhakar Rao, Retd. Deputy Director, Doordarshan Delivered a lecture on the glory of Sanskrit language and literature. Prof. Ch. Gopal Reddy, Registrar, OU, in his speech, appreciated the effortsmade by the Academy in organizing celebrations for the sustenance of the Sanskrit language. Prof. K. Neelakantham, Director, Sanskrit Academy, in his presidential address, stressed upon the Necessity of the Sanskrit literature in the modern era. On this occasion, Prof. B. Narasimhacharyulu, presidential Awardee was felicitated by the Academy.

Dr. Vidyanandarya, as a guest of honor graced the Occasion by his presence. At the end of the program prizes were distributed to the winners of the various competitions. Every participant of the competitions was given participation certificate.

DAY LONG ORIENTATION PROGRAM FOR SANSKRIT LECTURERS

Sanskrit Academy, as a part of Sanskrit Week Celebrations, conducted a day long orientation program for Sanskrit lecturers working in Intermediate Junior Colleges of Telangana State on 18th August ‘19. This program was conducted to help Sanskrit lecturers to be acquainted with the new Sanskrit text books. Prof. K. Neelakantham, Director, Sanskrit Academy, OU, delivered presidential address and explained about the aims and objectives of the orientation program. Sastrula Venkateswarulu, Director, Press, Telangana Governement, chief guest of the program delivered inaugural address. He assured that he would request Intermediate board to arrange Orientation program for Lecturers working in Intermediate Junior Colleges. Sri Lakshminathacharyulu, vice-president, Samskrita Bharati, Telangana, guest of honor of the program, addressed the gathering and expressed his views about the role of Sanskrit lecturers in promotion and propagation of the Sanskrit language in Telangana state.

FOUR DAY WORKSHOP ON SANSKRIT COMPUTATIONAL LINGUISTICS

A four day WORKSHOP ON SANSKRIT COMPUTATIONAL LINGUISTICS held from 27th – 30th January, 2020 the aim and objective of this workshop is developing users of tools, bringing awareness about the magnanimity of Sanskrit Lang & Lit. and the different dimensions of interdisciplinary research. The resource persons are Dr. K. Varalakshmi and Sanjeev Panchal, HCU. 60 students were enrolled and participated in the workshop.

A CERTIFICATE COURSE ON DEEKSHA LEVEL -1 COURSE (BATCH 1)

A certificate course on DEEKSHA LEVEL -1 COURSE (Batch 1) was conducted from 9th December 8th JANUARY, 2020. Forty five 45 students have participated in the course.

A CERTIFICATE COURSE ON DEEKSHA LEVEL -1 COURSE (BATCH 2)

A certificate course on DEEKSHA LEVEL -1 COURSE (Batch-2) was conducted from 2nd JANUARY, 2020 to 1st FEBRUARY, 2020. Twenty three (20) students have attended the course.

A CERTIFICATE COURSE ON DEEKSHA LEVEL -II COURSE

A certificate course on DEEKSHA LEVEL -II COURSE was conducted from 3rd February, 2020 to 1st JANUARY, 2020 (20 students attended the course)

ORGANIZED TWO-DAY NATIONAL SEMINAR ON “PUBLICATIONS OF SANSKRIT ACADEMY”
